Plan your first visit, or get to know us a little better.
Our church service starts at 10 am each Sunday. Each service is about an hour and a half long. On your first visit, please complete Side 1 of a ConneXions card and bring it to the Info Center in the Atrium after service so that we can welcome you with a gift.
Living Word International Christian Church was founded in 1983, rooted in the belief that Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is our only hope for Salvation. The church was formally incorporated on October 30, 1985, in Montgomery County, Maryland, as a non-denominational, Christ-loving church.
Today, Living Word continues to flourish as a multicultural, non-denominational church comprised of men, women, and children from many countries. Our constant heart cry is, and always will be, that the Lord will continue to fill this House with His presence, as we live in the overflow of God’s amazing grace. We give thanks for our history and look forward to our destiny, knowing all things work together for our good, and ultimately, God’s glory. Living Word always seeks to "Connect…Engage…and Grow!" This is LIVING!
There are several ways for you to get involved at Living Word! Whether you love serving people, working with children, cooking for the homeless, evangelizing or being in a small group, we have a place for you. No, we won’t hassle you; just want to say thank you for coming!
We believe from Scripture that everyone is welcome. There are no expectations. So…come as you are.
Our LWKids Team consists of trustworthy, trained volunteers. LWKids program is Bible-based and super fun. Each Sunday, kids enter this fun, safe environment where they learn about Jesus in a creative, dynamic worship setting designed to create a hunger to know Jesus. Our goal is that Sunday at church will be one of the BEST experiences of your child’s week!
Joshua 1:9 - “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
J1:9 is our student ministry for 6th–12th graders. Our mid-week regular service takes place on Wednesday nights from 6:30–8:30. Each week students connect with others and participate in worship, teaching, games, and activities. Our vision is: To Encourage, Equip and to Empower the Next Generation through the Word of God; to be Strong and Courageous in their Faith, their Family, and their Community. Nations and generations is a foundational principal at Living Word, therefore, we encourage you to join us on Sundays for Family services, where Middle and High Schoolers worship and hear the Word together with their families.
